Dragonflies in South Carolina

South Carolina, the smallest southeastern state of the US, is home to around 110 species of dragonflies. It is due to the location of the state and its diverse habitats. South Carolina is a part of the northern and southern edges of the range of many dragonflies. This has given rise to an exciting mix of species in the state.
