Dragonflies in Nebraska
Dragonflies form an integral part of the summer landscape of Nebraska. They are mostly found around streams and ponds. The darners are the largest dragonflies here. Most darners of the state display prominent green and blue patterns on their bodies. The most common dragonfly seen here is the common green darner. The cruisers are also quite big and brightly marked. The emeralds are hard to spot in Nebraska as their flight seasons are short or they fly for a short time every day.
