Dragonflies in Missouri

At least 65 species of dragonflies call Missouri their home, and there are probably more to be discovered. Their size ranges between 1 and 3-inches. Most of the dragonflies of Missouri complete their lifecycle in one year. The Hine’s emerald found in this state is an endangered species.
