Dragonflies in Arkansas
There is no dragonfly endemic to Arkansas, but there are two species that are native to the Ozark Plateau and Ouachita Mountains. They are Ozark emerald and Westfall’s snaketail, two critically imperiled species. The dragonflies of Arkansas mainly include skimmers, clubtails, meadowhawks, and pennants.
