Cicadas in Nevada
Twenty-three species of cicadas are native to Nevada, and they come in all shapes and sizes. The dry environment of the state helps in their survival. The state only has annual cicadas. No periodical cicadas can be seen here. So Nevadans don’t have to wait for a decade or so to hear them sing. The annual cicadas sing their mating songs every summer.
