Cicadas in Indiana
Indiana has both annual and periodical cicadas. The brood X is the largest among the 17-year broods in the state, including broods XII, XIII, and XIV. Broods XIX and XXIII are Indiana’s 13-year broods. The 12 species of annual cicadas emerge in mid to late July. They are gone by mid-September.
